Blue Moon

Blue Moon launched in 1995 with the goal to create uniquely flavored, highly drinkable, handcrafted beers. Belgian White was one of the first brewed, the immediate success led to many other flavors in the family. These are often served with an orange or lime slice to bring out the citrus flavor.

Description

This Blue Moon is a Belgian-Inspired white ale spiced with coriander and citrus. With an emphasis on old-world brewing techniques, Blue Moon Belgian White is brewed with white wheat, oats, select hops, and the perfect combination of coriander and orange peel. These ingredients make an incredibly refreshing, drinkable craft beer that consumers love.

Serving Recommendations

To enhance the experience, Blue Moon Belgian White is best served with an orange-slice garnish, which helps bring out the natural spices and subtle fruit flavor.

Two Styles. One Work of Art.

Blue Moon® Farmhouse Red Ale, much like our Blue Moon® Belgian White Belgian-Style Wheat Ale, was inspired by our brewmaster’s travels across Belgium.

His journey started in the southern region of Wallonia. If you ask him today, he’ll tell you stories about walking through the small town of Pipaix, discovering local Farmhouse Ales. The spicy yet refreshing character of these handcrafted ales piqued his curiosity. From there, he headed north to Flanders, a region well-known for its sour Belgian Red Ales. These refreshingly tart, deep red ales have an unmistakable taste that you have to experience for yourself.

Over the next 20 years, whenever he returned to Belgium, our brewmaster found himself drawn to these two styles. After sharing a couple of ales with old friends, he got the idea to blend the spice character of a Farmhouse Ale with the tartness of a Belgian Red Ale to create our Farmhouse Red Ale. His interpretation blends grains and specialty malts for a pleasantly tart finish.

Blue Moon First Peach Ale--Spring

Blue Moon Gingerbread Spiced Ale--Winter

ABV: 5.9%
Seasonal Availability: Limited Winter Release
Beverage Type: Spiced Ale

Not too long ago, we asked fans to suggest ingredients for a new limited winter release that would best fit the season. After lots of great suggestions and tastings with fans, Gingerbread Spiced Ale came out on top. With tastes of ginger, cinnamon, and molasses, it’s clear why they chose this wintery brew.

Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Ale--Fall

ABV: 5.7%
Seasonal Availability: Fall
Beverage Type: Pumpkin Ale

In 1995, we crafted our first autumn seasonal—Pumpkin Ale. At the time, Oktoberfest beers were in high demand. For our version, we wanted to create a beer that was a little different than what was already out there and complemented the season by highlighting the flavors we’ve all grown to love during this time. It was so popular that it became the first nationally available pumpkin ale. Harvest Pumpkin Ale, as it’s called now, is crafted with pumpkin and spices of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice for a taste you’ll want to fall right into.

Blue Moon Honey Wheat--Summer

ABV: 5.2%
Seasonal Availability: Summer
Beverage Type: Wheat Ale

When we first opened our doors in 1995, our summer seasonal was one of the first beers we brewed. Back then, we called it Honey Blonde Ale, and it was a favorite of baseball fans coming to a game during the heat of the Colorado summer. It took an extended summer break in 1999, reappearing in 2006 in time to win a Gold Medal at the Great American Beer Festival® under the name Blue Moon Honeymoon in the Specialty Honey Lager or Ale Category. and then again in 2010 as Blue Moon® Summer Honey Wheat Ale. And now, to answer the plea of our adoring fans, we’re bringing it back, once again, for the summer of 2015.

The beer with more name changes than a professional athlete, today Blue Moon® Summer Honey Wheat is crafted with clover honey and orange peel for a refreshing taste that makes the most of sun-soaked days.

Blue Moon Rounder
